An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified Store Buyer to join a leading FMCG company in Zimbabwe. The role requires ensuring 100% stock availability through strategic sourcing and inventory management while maintaining competitive pricing and timely deliveries.

Duties

Inventory & Supply Chain Management:

  • Analyze customer buying patterns and seasonal trends

  • Implement scientific ordering to prevent stockouts

  • Source products through competitive quotation processes

  • Maintain stock accountability (raw materials, warehouse inventory)

  • Develop stock loss minimization strategies

Market Analysis & Strategy:

  • Conduct regular competitor/market analysis

  • Monitor product pricing, quality and consumer behavior

  • Engage customers for feedback on product range/mix

  • Update inventory levels maintaining stock integrity

Leadership & Operations:

  • Supervise and train junior staff when required

  • Ensure deliveries meet agreed timelines

  • Work within budgetary constraints

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Purchasing & Supply Management

  • Minimum 3 years FMCG industry experience

  • Experience advising senior management strategically

  • Strong statistical analysis capabilities

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
