Duties

• Review delinquent accounts to identify causes of default and understand the debt’s background

• Engage clients to develop tailored repayment plans that minimize risk and maximize returns

• Assist in arranging acceptable repayment arrangements, debt acknowledgements and implementation of stop orders

• Conduct farm visits for Agro-Yield clients

• Formulate and implement strategies to correct and rehabilitate delinquent portfolios

• Help promote credit management best practices, ensuring compliance with prudential guidelines and organizational standards

• Prepare preliminary information for accounts requiring escalation to legal team

• Assist in coordinating with tracing agents and legal counsel for account follow-up

• Compile reports on assigned accounts for review

• Support review of account compliance with policies

• Help to ensure securities are adequately documented and up to date

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics or equivalent

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or Leadership (MBA) is an advantage

• Any collections and recovery certification

• Three years’ work experience in credit and risk management function

• Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, ratios and performance metrics

• Understanding of credit scoring models, risk assessment techniques and ability to evaluate credit applications

• Knowledge of debt recovery strategies, including legal actions, negotiation and collection techniques

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
