Procurement Officer – Allied Timbers

An exciting opportunity for the position of Procurement Officer has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced person at Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd. Allied Timbers is a leading local and international provider of high quality and durable timber based solutions for both industrial, domestic and end user markets. The successful incumbent will report to the Procurement Executive and will be based in Mutare.
The main purpose of the job is to assist in the effective and efficient management of the procurement function of the company.
Duties
-
Prepare annual and individual procurement plans in line with the organisation’s annual budget.

Prepare bidding documents in compliance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Asset Act.

Manage bidding processes, bidding meetings, clarifications, and the receipt and opening of bids.

Secure the adoption of the appropriate method of procurement.

Maintain records of all purchases.

Carry out other duties within the scope of the job.
Qualifications
-
Degree in Supply Chain Management or professional diploma in supply chain management Level 6 CIPS.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of ERP Accounting System is an added advantage.

Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in public procurement.
