The Attaché Loan Officer will evaluate, authorize, approve, or deny loan applications for individuals or businesses, act as a liaison between customers and the financial institution, and assist qualified applicants in acquiring loans in a timely manner. The role reports to the Senior Loans Officer.

Duties

• Assist in evaluating creditworthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits

• Assist in interviewing applicants to determine financial eligibility and loan feasibility

• Calculate applicable ratios and metrics, and set up debt payment plans

• Communicate with clients to request or provide necessary information

• Justify approval or rejection decisions and prepare related reports

• Complete loan contracts and guide clients on policies and restrictions

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of loan types and financial services

• Maintain and update account records accurately

• Assess customer needs, explore available options, and introduce different loan types

• Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels, and cross-sell products to meet quotas

• Build trust relationships, loyalty, and customer satisfaction during the underwriting process

• Comply with laws, regulations, and lending compliance guidelines

• Maintain a clean working environment

• Process all loans in the system

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Senior Loans Officer

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Banking and Finance (only Banking and Finance students will be considered)

• Students with accommodation in Chimanimani are encouraged to apply
