First Capital is hiring a Junior Software Engineer to join theirTransformation team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain both front end and back end web applications, ensuring high quality software solutions that align with business needs.

Duties

• Design processes and user interfaces (UI/UX) using tools like Visio, UML, Figma, or Adobe

• Develop scalable web applications across the full stack (front end and back end) using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, React, Git, Visual Studio, Jenkins, and SQL/NoSQL databases

• Collaborate closely with product owners, UX/UI designers, and Agile Scrum teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions

• Ensure clean, maintainable, and efficient code using best practices, reviews, and testing methodologies

• Implement API, ESB, and third party service integrations

• Optimize performance by improving load speed, battery efficiency, and network traffic

• Apply cybersecurity measures including encryption, secure authentication, and penetration testing

Qualifications

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)

• Strong experience with server side languages and frameworks (Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java) and familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases

• Understanding of UI/UX design principles and ability to work effectively with designers

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a full stack developer with knowledge of CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud is a plus)
