Duties

  • Conduct routine checks of IT equipment including laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, routers, and access points.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.

  • Diagnose outdated or unused equipment and recommend retention, repurposing, or recycling.

  • Provide on-site troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.

  • Configure and maintain network connections for computers and printers.

  • Collaborate with the Security and IT focal point to report findings and implement follow-ups.

  • Coordinate with the Internet Service Provider to resolve connectivity issues.

  • Organize and secure cables to prevent accidents.

  • Perform secure data backups and resets when necessary.

  • Update and maintain the IT equipment inventory.

  • Produce technical reports, maintenance logs, and a final summary report.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Strong skills in data backup, secure device wiping, and system resets.

  • Ability to produce detailed technical reports and maintain inventory documentation.

  • Familiarity with IT asset tracking and inventory management.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent requests.

  • Experience with NGOs or international non-profits is an added advantage.
