The National Biotechnology Authority is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Internal Auditor to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for evaluating our internal controls, compliance, and operational efficiency. Your insights will help strengthen our financial integrity and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Duties

• Plan, execute and report on operational, financial, regulatory and compliance audits

• Develop and maintain the Audit Procedure Manual and Internal Audit Charter

• Design and manage the organization’s risk assessment framework

• Enhance corporate governance systems

• Examine company accounts and financial control systems

• Assess financial risk levels and safeguard assets

• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements

• Prepare reports, commentaries and financial statements

• Present findings to managerial staff and audit committee

• Ensure compliance with procedures, policies and regulations

• Liaise with external auditors and Ministry internal auditors

Qualifications

• Degree in Internal Auditing, Forensic Accounting, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation

• Membership with Institute of Internal Auditors

• Knowledge of computerized accounting systems

• Excellent analytical and financial skills

• Minimum 5 years auditing experience

• Clean Class 4 driver’s license (advantageous)
