Human Resources Graduate Intern – Zvitambo Institute

Zvitambo Institute for Maternal and Child Health Research is an internationally recognized multidisciplinary public health research institute dedicated to helping children survive and thrive through research. Working in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Zvitambo conducts research and provides technical support and education to reduce malnutrition and infectious diseases, ensuring children have a healthy start in life. The institute is a registered non-profit company operating from its Head Office in Harare and a field site in Shurugwi.
Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Graduate Intern will support the execution of Human Resources management tasks to ensure seamless and quality service delivery across the organization.
Duties
• Assist with recruitment and engagement of new staff.
• Support the preparation and implementation of the organisation’s learning and development plans.
• Assist with payroll administration processes.
• Maintain and update employee records and files.
• Participate in staff engagement and wellness surveys.
• Help monitor adherence to organisational policies.
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Social Sciences, or Business Administration.
• At least one year of experience in a Human Resources-related role.
Required Competencies
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organised and able to meet deadlines.
• Good understanding of contracts management.
