Duties
-
Develop and implement ICT strategies and policies to enhance business effectiveness, efficiency, and profitability.

Implement disaster recovery strategies to minimize the impact of ICT service disruptions on business performance.

Establish and maintain information security measures to protect infrastructure and data from unauthorized access.

Manage and maintain Zimpost’s ICT infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance.
-
Maintain service level agreements with external providers, both local and international.
-
Provide management information systems, including ERP and office systems, to support decision-making.
-
Identify and recommend emerging technologies that can improve business processes and service delivery.
-
Oversee ICT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.

Ensure robust data security measures to protect sensitive information and maintain regulatory compliance.

Manage vendor and service provider relationships.
-
Approve and purchase hardware, software, and accessories within authorized limits and recommend suitable suppliers.
Qualifications
-
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Postgraduate qualification such as MBA, MBL, or MSc in Information Technology.

Minimum of 5 years’ work experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial ICT role.

Project Management Certification (PMP or Prince2) is an added advantage.
