Finance and Programme Assistant – UN Women Zimbabwe
The Finance and Programme Assistant will provide financial and administrative support for UN Women’s Sustaining the Gains Programme in Zimbabwe. Reporting to the Operations Manager and supervised by the Programme Specialist and Finance Associate, this role ensures timely, efficient, and transparent use of financial resources in compliance with UN Women and EU policies.
Duties

Support budget formulation, monitoring, and revisions

Prepare payment documents, advances, and partner liquidations

Follow up with partners on quarterly progress and financial reports

Conduct spot checks on implementing partners for compliance

Prepare audit documents and support implementation of recommendations

Track expenditures and advise supervisors on budget status

Support partner selection, procurement, and programme implementation

Assist in workplan development and progress monitoring

Organize meetings, workshops, and maintain project files

Support financial donor reporting and corporate system data entry

Provide training and capacity building on finance and administration to partners
Qualifications
-
Diploma or intermediate qualification in Business Management, Finance, or Administration required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is an advantage

Minimum 4 years progressive finance experience

Proficient in MS Office, spreadsheets, and web-based management systems (Oracle Cloud preferred)

Experience with EU funded projects is an asset

Fluency in English required; local language is desirable
