Duties

Safely transport NAZ employees, visitors, and freight as per schedules and directives.
Ensure possession and validity of all required vehicle and driver documentation.
Report accidents immediately to police and logistics department.
Adhere to traffic laws, organizational vehicle policies, and manufacturer guidelines.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure readiness before field trips.
Perform minor repairs, keep the vehicle clean, and maintain accurate logbooks.
Ensure timely booking of servicing, fuelling, and other maintenance to avoid delays.
Prepare vehicles with necessary kits (fuel, medical, food, tools, etc.) for trips.
Securely handle official documents, parcels, and payments.
Support office and program staff with logistics tasks.
Ensure communication tools are operational during trips.
Provide logistical feedback during program meetings and reviews.
Uphold confidentiality and comply with all NAZ policies, including the Mandatory Reporting Policy.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s licence with clean record.
Knowledge of Zimbabwean traffic regulations.
At least 3 years’ experience as a professional driver, preferably in NGO or humanitarian work.
Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and adapt to changing program needs.
Basic knowledge of vehicle electrics/mechanics is an added advantage.
