Duties

Design and plan mining operations to ensure optimal resource extraction.

Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects.

Oversee and manage drilling, blasting, and excavation activities.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Supervise the development of mining plans and technical reports.

Provide technical support to operations teams and resolve engineering issues.

Monitor mine performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Manage and optimize the use of equipment, manpower, and resources.
-
Collaborate with geologists and environmental specialists to promote sustainable practices.

Ensure mining operations are executed within budget and timelines.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.

Professional engineering certification (e.g., PE, Chartered Engineer) is an advantage.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in chrome mining engineering.

Strong knowledge of mining software such as AutoCAD, Surpac, or MineSight.

Solid experience in mining operations and project management.

Ability to analyze and interpret geological and operational data.
-
Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable mining practices.

Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
