Business Analyst – SMEDCO

The position exists to handle loan enquiries, process applications, and administer accounts as representatives of SMEDCO, ensuring the effective implementation of lending facilities to all stakeholders.

Duties

  • Produce brief analysis reports on project backgrounds for funding approval to support informed decision making

  • Evaluate reports to assess project viability and ensure successful implementation

  • Conduct credit checks on clients’ financial history

  • Carry out periodic visits to clients with ongoing projects to assess operations and propose solutions to challenges

  • Perform market analysis to identify and mitigate risks for the organization’s benefit

  • Produce reports for SMEs highlighting benefits derived from SMEDCO funding

  • Conduct financial appraisals to assess applicants for financial assistance

Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics, Business Studies, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, or related field

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Familiarity with the SMEs sector or lending environment is an advantage

  • Clean Class 4 Driver’s License
