Branch Manager – Nedbank

To manage and lead staff in the branch unit to meet sales and service objectives while complying with processes and procedures, managing risk, and ensuring alignment to the Financial and service objectives of the unit.
Duties

Achieve Branch financial targets (Assets and Liabilities).

Ensure increased profitability and manage relevant business strategies/sales campaigns/marketing initiatives.

Oversee branch cost management and profitability by optimizing Consumer Banking product mix.

Drive client acquisition, retention, and cross-selling to meet main Bank objectives.
-
Monitor and track sales/operational targets via daily check-ins/outs, performance management.
-
Deliver optimum client service by assessing branch capacity needs.
-
Build and maintain strong stakeholder and client relationships.
-
Manage staff performance through clear agreements, regular feedback, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Mentor and coach staff to address performance gaps.
-
Promote teamwork by involving staff in decision-making.
-
Identify and address training/development needs to build staff capability.
-
Enhance process efficiency and quality; review asset register accuracy.
-
Mitigate risk through cash management processes and staff compliance.
-
Reduce service errors and implement corrective actions (including discipline).

Improve systems/processes to elevate client service delivery.
-
Ensure staff adherence to operational/legislative requirements and service standards.
-
Strengthen community relationships via area/community event participation.
-
Uphold Nedbank brand standards for client experience.
Qualifications
-
A Business or Marketing-related degree (MBA preferred).

Marketing/Sales certifications (IOBZ Diploma advantageous).

Experience:
-
8+ years in client-facing sales, including 3+ years in a managerial role.

Change management, competitor analysis, governance/risk controls.

Nedbank policies, systems, vision, and culture.

Project management principles, sales data analysis, HR systems.
