Accounts Clerk – Head Pick

Head Peak, a construction company known for quality, reliability, and professionalism, is seeking a competent and dependable Accounts Clerk to manage financial records and support ongoing projects. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, analytical, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Record daily financial transactions including invoices, receipts, petty cash, and payment vouchers.

Maintain accurate ledgers, journals, and digital accounting records.

Assist in developing and implementing financial policies for improved compliance and efficiency.

Liaise with banks, suppliers, and clients regarding payments and financial documentation.

Process supplier and subcontractor payments in line with contract terms.

Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Prepare and issue client invoices based on project milestones.

Track receivables and ensure timely collections.

Maintain cashbooks and assist with monthly bank reconciliations.

Process payroll inputs and handle statutory deductions such as PAYE, NSSA, and NEC.

Track budgets, costs, and assist in project cost reporting.

Support procurement through purchase order processing and maintaining material and invoice records.

Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors on payment timelines.

Maintain up-to-date inventory and asset registers.

Assist in preparing tender documents, quotations, and cost breakdowns.

Ensure orderly filing and storage of all financial and administrative documents.

Provide support during audits and maintain confidentiality of financial data.

Continuously improve financial processes and record-keeping systems.
Qualifications
-
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACCA/CIMA preferred).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping (construction industry experience is an advantage).

Age between 30 and 40 years.

Proficiency in accounting software (Pastel, QuickBooks, or similar).

Strong Excel and MS Office skills.

Excellent understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance.

High attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills.

Honest, reliable, and capable of working under minimal supervision.

Two traceable professional references required.
